Setting up Joulen

The manual describes the steps to set up Joulen External Control on the MidTeq EMS.

When setting up this integration, permission is granted to Joulen to control the necessary devices.

Prerequisites​

1. Add the batteries​

Login to the commissioning interface and make sure the devices are added to the MidTeq EMS.

2. Check the grid power limits​

In the settings, the grid power limits should be set correctly. Click Settings and check the highlighted setting in the image. If necessary, adjust the settings.

Add 'Joulen - External Control'​

In the next page, you have the option to include/exclude devices for remote control. Ensure to mark all checkboxes of devices you'd like to include.

When using multiple batteries, they are aggregated into one (virtual) asset for Joulen.

'Joulen' is now set up on the MidTeq EMS.

Notify Joulen​

The final step of the integration is to inform Joulen that you wish to receive commands on this MidTeq EMS.

In your communication with Joulen, provide the following ID for a physical MidTeq EMS:

  • [SERIAL NUMBER]_site_0
  • Example: OM1230330XSQE4D1921_site_0
